Thank you for visiting my website. For the past 24 years I have been involved in politics. One of my first jobs out of college was as a Field Organizer for Walter Mondale’s campaign for President. Later I served as a Legislative Assistant for a U.S. Congressman and as an advocate for not-for-profit healthcare and social service agencies. Currently, I am the 6th Ward Democratic Committeeman and I am running for a seat vacated by current Alderman Lewis Reed.
I am running at this time because I cannot imagine a better time and place to be a public servant. The Sixth Ward is the most dynamic and diverse of all the wards in the city. We have seen hundreds of millions of dollars in redevelopment including the lofts downtown, the resurgence of Lafayette Square, new housing in the Gate District and the rehabilitation of many of the other neighborhoods in the ward. We have made great progress over the recent years, but we are not yet finished.
We need to secure our neighborhoods by reducing crime and to continue the hard work of building and rehabilitating housing for incomes both high and low. We need to entice businesses large and small to operate in the ward to further stabilize our neighborhoods. This ward has become one of the best wards in the city and we need an alderman who has the leadership and experience to work to continue this progress.
I hope to have your support.
Sincerely,
